 Hi,
 
 Guess we all know that TrollTech has released Qt 4.0.0 last week. Although not
 all features of Qwt 5 are implemented today I try to maintain official
 snapshots for Qt4, that are intended to be stable for Qt3 and Qt4.
 
 Unfortunately I neither have access to most of the environments
 (platform/compiler) that are supported by Qt , nor enough time to check them
 all. That´s where I need your help.
 
 1) Please compile the tar balls from http://qwt.sourceforge.net/snapshot and
 check if library and examples can be built in your environment and report it
 to the mailing list. ( In fact I never checked any other environment than
 gcc/X11. )
 
 2) Please have a look at the rubberbands in the bode example. XOR mode is no
 longer supported in Qt4, so I had to find a completely different way to
 implement them.
 
 3) Check the performance of the realtime example. Especially the Mac
 environment is interesting, where the capabilities of painting are limited in
 Qt4.
 
 Please check the snapshot with Qt3 and Qt4. Don"t be surprised if everything
 beside compilation and startup is slower with Qt4, but if something seems to
 be too slow, please report.
 
 Support for the designer is still missing for Qt4.
 
 You will notice that I did some redesign in Qwt too. Unfortunately there is
 not much documentation about it yet, but how to use it should be obvious from
 the examples. Of course feedback here is welcome too.
